Essentials 2

How do I connect to my Enshrouded server?

In Enshrouded, Play, Join: search for your server's name in the list, then enter the password. The first startup takes a few minutes.

  1. Wait until the GamePanel console shows the server is online.

  2. Enshrouded, Play, Join: search for the name set in SRV_NAME.

  3. Enter the password: it determines your rights (see below).

Backups, subdomain, SFTP and ports

These topics are common to all games: see the GamePanel article. For SFTP, follow the step-by-step FileZilla tutorial.

  1. Help center home, GamePanel article (all games).

Guides 3

How do the passwords work (admin, friends, visitors)?

Enshrouded doesn't have one password but up to four: each password unlocks a group with its own rights (for example admin, friends, visitors). A player gets the rights of the password they typed.

  1. Stop the server.

  2. GamePanelServer Options: SRV_PW to SRV_PW4, a different password for each group. Keep the first one for yourself.

  3. Each group's rights (building, chests, kicking) are set in enshrouded_server.json (GamePanelFile Manager).

  4. Start the server, and give each player the password for their group.

How do I change the player limit or the name?

The name (SRV_NAME) and the player limit (MAX_PLAYERS, 16 at most in the game) are in GamePanelServer Options. Automatic game updates are also set there (AUTO_UPDATE).

  1. Stop the server.

  2. GamePanel, Server Options: edit SRV_NAME or MAX_PLAYERS.

  3. Start the server.

How do I resume my solo save on the server?

Copy your world save from your PC into the server's savegame folder, keeping the file name the server expects.

  1. Start the server once then stop it, so it creates its own savegame folder.

  2. On your PC, find your world save (Enshrouded's save folder, in Steam or in Saved Games).

  3. Upload your files to savegame on the server (SFTP recommended), keeping the names of the files the server created, then start it.

Make a copy of the server's files first, so you can roll back.
